I saw Anushka in March this year. I was extremely anxious having had sudden symptoms which required immediate breast surgery. Having initially attended the breast clinic at Great Western Hospital I was frustrated/ angry at the lack of empathy, sensitivity and sense of urgency offered through the NHS. I explained this to Anushka when we met. She was kind, caring and considerate and provided me with the reassurance that I could be treated very quickly. She carefully explained the procedure and various treatment options. When I left the initial consultation my husband and I were reassured and relieved and enormously impressed with Anushka's professionalism, expertise and kindness. I had my operation within 10 days. Anushka saw me shortly after the procedure to explain how things had gone and I went home the same evening (unexpectedly), prepared with what to expect in terms of recovery and self care. I have seen Anushka twice since post surgery and again was reassured by Anushka regarding the healing process. The scarring I have is minimal and I have made a full recovery, returning to work within a fortnight and to exercise within in May. Anushka's medical expertise, her understanding of the female body, and my expectations had been fully considered throughout. Apart from the above I like her enormously and have a huge professional respect. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone in a similar situation to myself to see Anushka.

I received the best care and advice possible, Dr Chaudhry was pleasant charming and extremely helpful and concise in explaining my problems and how they were going the be dealt with. Which was very comforting at a worrying time. I would also like to thank Dr Chaudhry for writing a letter for me to send to the Jury Service board to excuse me from my impending summons for Jury Service, as I found that to be extremely stressful on top of what both my husband I are facing, once again I cannot thank her enough. I would like to thank Ms Chaudhry for the care she took over my mastectomy. Her manner talking to me face to face and looking me in the eyes gave me great confidence that all would be well with her doing my operation.

Anushka is a very rare thing in modern medicine: a surgeon who treats you like a real human being, not just a problem to be solved with a knife. She brings empathy, humour, and understanding to the job, which makes a grim time of your life so much easier to bear. She makes you feel that things will turn out ok, that you’re making the right choice, and that she will get you through it. And she does. The after-care is just as good as her knife skills, which are outstanding. She takes your concerns seriously and explains her decisions without patronizing. You get the feeling that she really cares, especially if things go wrong. The emotional support was very important to my recovery.

This was my first consultation with Ms Chaudhry at the Great Western Hospital and was for my final appointment following a diagnosis of breast cancer three years previous. I was extremely impressed with Ms Chaudhry's professional and caring manner, making both myself and my husband feel totally at ease. Additionally, my annual mammogram was due in a few weeks time but Ms Chaudhry arranged for me to have this on the day of my consultation so that I did not have to make another journey and also let me know the results on the same day which I was extremely thankful for. We came away from my consultation very happy and grateful for the high level of care and attention that we had been given.

Ms Chaudhry was very thorough, reassuring and appeared interested in my concerns. I could not have asked for better care on this occasion.

She did a fantastic job of the surgery, being new to the hospital, she brought with her the latest techniques and I had multiple nurses dropping by to admire her handiwork. The result is an astonishingly natural look, far better than I had anticipated, no need for a bra at all!

I noticed some lumps in my breast and I was worried and wanted to book a mammogram. My local GP said I needed a hospital appointment and one came very quickly. I had the mammogram first and the nurse there was very helpful and nice. During the scan, the female doctor was very informative and asked me to look at the scan and see the layers of normal fat, breast tissue and ribs. She explained that because my breasts are small, it was easier for me to feel the breast tissue close to the surface and that it was nothing to worry about. This was a sentiment very much echoed by Dr Chaudry who listened first how I noticed these lumps and then examined me. I was relived there was nothing sinister and apologised for taking up her time. She informed me I knew my body best and if in future I noticed other lumps, then I must make another visit. She made me feel like a person whose concerns were important and I would not hesitate in recommending anyone to be seen by her.

Ms Anushka Chaudhry is the best doctor that I met here in Swindon. She is a kind person, she is doing her job very good. I am greatful for how she treated my aunt.

I was referred urgently to Ms Choudhry after her colleague was unable to perform the operation, so I only met her 5 days before my surgery as a squeezed in appointment. I instantly felt I was in good hands, and in the short time she was more informative than my previous surgeon had been in 2 full appointments! I have the BRCA1 gene so had a bilateral mastectomy with insertion of silicon implants. She did a fantastic job of the surgery, being new to the hospital, she brought with her the latest techniques and I had multiple nurses dropping by to admire her handiwork. The result is an astonishingly natural look, far better than I had anticipated, no need for a bra at all! I did have a few issues with my stay in hospital, nothing to do with Ms Choudhry, when I brought these to her attention she was enormously helpful. I am confident that she will push through changes in the hospital processes to ensure that the trouble I experienced is not repeated for other patients. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I was one of the lucky ones and came away from the breast pain clinic with a clean bill of health. But the experience of sitting in the waiting room with others who have been treated for breast cancer or like me were being checked to see if they possibly might have it was a little daunting to say the least. BUT, the waiting room had music playing which helped, plenty of magazines, which helped, and a very kind understanding consultant called Dr Chaudhry, which totally helped! Ms Chaudhry is a great doctor, surgeon she made a great job of my breast operation and I was left with a very neat scar the follow up appointment were always good she explained everything to me so I could understand very happy with everything about Ms Chaudhry.
